Recycling FAQs
The recycling bin is for clean paper products, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, steel and aluminium cans, empty aerosol cans and plastic bottles and containers. Waxed cardboard, soft plastics and plastic items like toys cannot go in the yellow lidded recycling bin.
For further information on what can be placed in your recycling bin please click here.
Unfortunately soft plastics like plastic bags and cling wrap can’t be recycled through your kerbside recycling bin. Please place these items in your red lidded garbage bin, or collect your bags and recycle them at your nearest supermarket.
These items cannot be recycled within your kerbside recycling bin, however they can be taken to the Transfer Station for recycling. For further information on Council's Transfer Station's please click here.
Flattening boxes and squashing cans is a great way to maximise the space in your recycling bin. However, you can upgrade to a larger 360L recycling bin for no extra cost.
